Bhubaneswar: NDA’s Presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind has arrived in Bhubaneswar today accompanied by Union Minister JP Nadda. He reached the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here by a special flight. BJP and BJD leaders of the state accorded rousing welcome to Kovind.

Kovind will meet MLAs and MPs of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seeking their support during the upcoming presidential elections July 17.

Though BJD has extended its support to Kovind for the presidential elections, Kovind will address the Law makers of both the parties separately.
The NDA nominee will address all the MLAs and MPs of ruling BJD on the Assembly premises, said sources. The ruling party has asked its legislators and parliamentarians to remain present at the Assembly Conference Hall at 11.45am today.

Kovind, on the other hand, will meet the legislators of the saffron party at around 2.50pm at BJP legislature party leader KV Singh Deo’s residence in the Capital.

Lunch for Kovind has been arranged at Chief Minister’s residence at 1.30pm while the presidential candidate is also scheduled to garland statues of freedom fighters and leader of Paika Rebellion at 2.40pm at state guesthouse. Kovind will leave for New Delhi at 6pm, sources added.
