Bhubaneswar: In yet another salvo at the BJP without naming it, Odisha Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik today blamed the Centre-ruling party for the uneasy atmosphere in the country.
During a BJD’s Jan Sampark Padayatra in Bhubaneswar, Naveen took a dig at the national party by saying that a sense of uncertainty has gripped the people of the nation which is not in the greater interest of the country.
The CM paid his tribute to Lok Nayak Jayprakash Narayan on his birthday and said the national political parties are on the run of working exactly opposite of the democratic values for which the great freedom fighter had fought during his lifetime.
This happens to be the second time in a week that Naveen has hit out at BJP which has been blaming the BJD of poor progress of the state during last 18 years of rule.
Similarly, the CM did not name BJP but hit out the party saying that national parties have always disappointed the state and they are working for party’s interest by destroying the federal structure of the country.
Reiterating his party’s commitment to the progress of the state, the chief minister said, “BJD is not a political party but hope and aspiration of the people of Odisha.”
