Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved 1,746 projects worth Rs 38.45 crore for 171 gram panchayats (GPs) in 10 blocks under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana.
The CM interacted with the residents through videoconferencing from the secretariat here and sanctioned the funds for Bargarh, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Koraput, Keonjhar, Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj districts.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 3.91 crore has been earmarked for 229 projects in 23 GPs under Barpali block in Bargarh district, Rs 5.63 crore for 369 projects in 24 GPs under Brahmagiri block in Puri district, Rs 5 crore for 213 projects in 24 GPs under Kasipur block of Rayagada district, Rs 3.71 crore for 168 projects in 17 GPs under Bamra block in Sambalpur district, Rs 3.41 crore for 175 projects in 13 GPs under Laxmipur block and Rs 4.34 crore for 158 projects in 17 GPs under Kotpad block of Koraput district.
Similarly, Rs 4.80 crore has been sanctioned for execution of 104 projects in 20 GPs under Patna block in Keonjhar district, Rs 2.40 crore for 139 projects in 12 GPs under Karlamunda block in Kalahandi district, Rs 3 crore for 95 projects in 12 GPs under Udala block and Rs 2.25 crore for 96 projects in 9 GPs under Rairangpur block in Mayurbhanj district.
With today’s programme, the Chief Minister has sanctioned a total of Rs 882.10 crore for 35,858 projects under 3888 GPs of 175 blocks till date.
