Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today returned from New Delhi after his seven day long visit. While replying to questions from the media, he has hinted at a possible shuffle in his cabinet.
There is already a buzz among the ministers after the CM today told journalists that he will look into the matter and see what can be done when Patnaik was asked if there will be a reshuffle in the ministry.
Interestingly, the CM had taken off former health minister Atanu Sabyasachi from the cabinet after issues like Malkangiri Japanese Encephalitis deaths and Sum Hospital fire. The axe may now fall on agriculture minister Pradip Maharathy owing to the farmer suicides. Other leaders may also be reshuffled post the decline in votes for BJD during panchayat elections.
The CM had left for New Delhi for Holi last Saturday. He met health minister JP Nadda and External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj during his visit. While his return was initially scheduled for Thursday, later it was changed to Friday.
