New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged Union Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari to expedite various National Highway (NH) projects in the State and a flyover at Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar at a meeting in New Delhi.
Naveen discussed with the Union Minister about road infrastructure issues in the state and asked him to take urgent steps for early completion of National Highway projects.
I urged the minister to finalise the tender processes and complete pending critical works on National Highways in Odisha involving 6 stretches and road length up to 585 km, Patnaik told media persons after his meeting with Gadkari.
The CM also urged the Union Minister to construct a flyover at Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar and at Gohira Chhak leading to Infovalley-2 near Khurda on NH-16 early.
Besides, he asked the Union Minister to declare 12 roads having a length of 1,193 km as NH and lastly to approve 30 eligible state roads of 2,483 km length as new National Highways as per proposals submitted in December 2016.
Gadkari has said to see that all these projects are certainly expedited, Patnaik informed media.
