Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday interacted with a group of farmers from Kuchinda block in Sambalpur district, at his residence in Bhubaneswar.
About 39 farmers, including 34 women farmers who have come to participate in an awareness training programme, ‘Krushak Sachetana Workshop’ here at IMAGE institution in the capital, met the CM after the training session and discussion various issues with him.
Patnaik asked the farmers about their training experience here and also inquired about their agricultural related issues in their respective villages.
The CM advised them to utilise the training experience and avail the benefits of various agricultural schemes and programmes meant for them.
Notably, Patnaik inaugurated the training programme for farmers at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) here on June 20.
The programme will cover farmers of all 314 blocks of the state. Farmers from different blocks will be provided various agricultural training here every day. As many as 52 farmers from Bolangir block had participated in the programme on the first day.
