Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned 1,473 projects to be implemented at a cost of Rs 37 crore in 166 gram panchayats (GPs) under nine blocks of eight districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
Pattnaik approved the amount after holding a discussion with the representatives of the concerned GPs through video conferencing from the state Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 4.60 crore has been sanctioned for 221 projects in 26 panchayats of Narala block in Kalahandi district, Rs 8.7 crore for 403 projects in 35 panchayats of Salipur block in Cuttack district, Rs 4.20 crore for 164 projects in 17 panchayats of Saraskana block in Mayurbhanj district and Rs 3.54 crore for 144 projects in 15 panchayats of Tentulikhunti block in Nabarangpur district.
Similarly, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 5.25 crore for 136 projects in 21 panchayats of Talcher block in Angul district, Rs 3.01 crore for 84 projects in 14 panchayats of K Nuagaon block in Kandhamal district, Rs 2.24 crore for 81 projects in 10 panchayats of Jamda block in Mayurbhanj district, Rs 2.585 crore for 121 projects in 15 panchayats of Bhatli block in Bagarh district and Rs 2.44 crore for 119 projects in 13 panchayats of Padmapur block in Raygada district.
Adding today’s sanctioned amount, the Chief Minister has allocated a total of Rs 919 crore for 37,331 projects in 4054 panchayats of 184 blocks.
