Bhubaneswar: While interacting with participants of ‘Ama Gaon Ama Vikas’ programme through video conference here, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced awards for villages working towards creation of a ‘clean and healthy’ environment.
“It is our right and duty to be healthy. We can do something for our family, nation and society if we keep ourselves healthy. The economy and development of a nation depends on its healthy citizens. So, it’s very important to be healthy and keep the environment clean,” Naveen said in his address.
He exhorted participants of 10 districts to take advantage of various welfare programmes to use toilets and motivate others for the same during the ‘Ama Mukhya Mantri, Ama Katha’ programme.
He also announced awards for villages, Panchayats and blocks that have contributed in this regard.
