Nabha jailbreak incident: Khalistan ultra arrested from Delhi


New Delhi: In a major breakthrough Khalistan Liberation Force(KLF) chief Harminder Singh Mintoo, was arrested on Monday from Delhi. Mintoo had escaped from Nabha Central Jail in Punjab on Sunday.

He was arrested in a joint operation by the Punjab Police and the Special Crime Branch of the Delhi Police.

Earlier, police arrested Parminder Singh, one of the Nabha jail attackers, from Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from his possession.

Mintoo and five other terrorists including Gurpreet Singh,Vicky Gondra,Nitin Deol, Aman Singh Toda and Vikramjeet Singh escaped from jail when a group of at least 10 armed men in police uniforms came and broke into the Nabha Jail.

The men dressed in police uniform blank fired over 100 rounds and managed to flee the spot after freeing the five inmates. Sources said two policemen have been injured in the attack.

Notably, in November 2014 Harminder Singh Mintoo (49) was arrested by Punjab Police from Delhi airport. It is to be mentioned that Harminder who left Babbar Khalsa in 2009 formed KLF and is accused in multiple terror related cases.

KLF was extensively using the internet for collecting funds, attracting recruits and spreading falsehood and hatreds.
