Mumbai: Widespread water-logging reported in several parts of Mumbai owing to heavy downpour since early morning.
The rains have been significantly heavy and are expected to continue, said officials from the India meteorological Department (IMD).
Weathermen believe the rain, heavier than average, could continue for at least 24 hours. “Heavy to very heavy rain” has been predicted for at least the next 24 hours in Mumbai and its suburbs.
Flooding has been reported in the Sion, Dadar, Mumbai Central, Kurla, Andheri, Sakinaka areas.
The India meteorological Department has issued a warning of intermittent rain or showers with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places in the city and its suburbs.
