Bhubaneswar: The security has been beefed up at the Odisha Assembly ahead of its Monsoon Session which is scheduled to commence from tomorrow (Thursday). Newly appointed Director General of Police (DGP) Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma today took stock of the security preparedness at the State Assembly here and discussed with Assembly Security Officer, Commissioner YB Khurania and DCP Satyabrata Bhoi regarding the safety features.
Notably, the Odisha Assembly Monsoon Session to start from September 7. The session will continue for 8 days and will end on September 16.

The six official days would be on 7th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 16th while the private members day would be on 8th and 15th.
