Kathmandu: A minor bomb blast took place near the camp office of the Indian embassy in Nepal’s Biratnagar. No one was injured in the blast.
The blast was reported at 8:20 pm on Monday. It created a hole on the compound wall of the embassy camp, which is toward the secluded rear area of the main office building.
Reportedly, two persons who came on a motorcycle are believed to have planted the bomb on the site, no one was at the office when the explosion struck the camp.
The temporary office was set up by India during the floods in Nepal and north Bihar in 2015. The office has been functioning since then, officials said. The Nepal police are investigating the explosion.
