Malkangiri: A Maoist poster was found wrapped on a tree near Kalimela area in Malkangiri district protesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Odisha scheduled on Saturday.

The South Sub-Zonal Bureau of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) through the poster alleged that Modi does not want development of SC, ST and minority people of the state; instead, he will sell various mines of the state to the foreign countries.

On the other hand, Odisha police has put tight security arrangements in place for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Odisha on May 26 to mark completion of four years of his government, officials said.

He will address the public at Bali Jatra Ground in Cuttack to highlight the BJP government’s achievement during four years.

Meanwhile, opposition Congress has announced to stage demonstration during the Prime Minister’s visit protesting the recent unprecedented rising of petrol and diesel prices.
