Man kills wife over family feud in Sambalpur

Boudh: A 29-year-old man was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants during Sitalsasthi Jatra celebration near Deuli under Manamunda police limits in Boudh district of Odisha on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Bhima Sethi.

According to sources, Sethi along with a large number of devotees had participated in a religious procession on the occasion of Sitalsasthi Jatra on Sunday night. While having Prasad, Sethi had a heated argument with some people over a trivial issue.

Eventually, Sethi went to drop one of his friends. While returning, the miscreants attacked him with lethal weapons near Deuli leading to his death.

Upon being informed, police reached the spot and detained three persons on suspicion. They were identified as Sonu Majhi, Depak Choudhary and Alok Mirdha.

The police have handed the body of the deceased to his family members.
