Bhubaneswar: The State Vigilance while celebrating Diamond Jubilee Year in 2017 on completion of the 60 years through massive awareness campaigns on anti-corruption themes, the weekly event ‘Patha Utsav’ on March 19 (Sunday) will be having its theme based on fight against corruption.
The Patha Utsav on March 19 will also have a specially designed logo with a catch line “Let’s Fight Corruption.”
The star attraction of the day would be Odisha based Bollywood singer Krishna Beura who is famous for his numbers including “Maula Mere” from the film Chak De India, “Rabba” (Musafir) and “Soniyo from the Heart” (Raaz-2). Apart, Ollywood singer Tapu Mishra will also perform.
Popular Odia movie stars Sabyasachi and Archita will participate in the function and endorse the anti-corruption campaign. There will also be a combined display of the State Police Brass and Pipe Band.
Among other, guests to make their presence on the occasion include Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary R Balakrishnan and Director Vigilance Dr RP Shamra.
Various activities planned for the day include public rally by students with banners and placards, street plays, stage plays, musical programmes, fancy dress competition, Rangoli, art, live painting activities and slogan writing competition. There will also be a display of all the paintings made by students during the last Vigilance Week celebration. Simultaneously, on-the-spot painting competitions in junior and senior groups will be held. Besides, five professional artists of artisan.com will also do canvas painting on anti-corruption theme inside the painting and drawing zone.
Besides, stalls with brief synopsis of Vigilance work, FB page, contact numbers of officials, e-mail Ids and details of Vigilance divisions and units will be displayed.
All such events were finalized after a coordination meeting attended by the DGP-cum-Director Vigilance, the ADG Vigilance, the BMC Commissioner, the DIG Police Vigilance.
