Khandapada CDPO Clerk arrested for taking bribe

Nayagarh: Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Nayagarh ddistrict’s Khandapada CDPO office Junior Clerk Ramesh Kumar Nayak for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from one Alok Kumar Rout of Kanasingi village for issue of a work order for construction of a house under the Nirman Shramik Pakka Ghar Yojana Scheme.

As per complaint of Rout, the Vigilance sleuths laid trap and caught Nayak red-handed while taking the bribe money of `2,000 from the complainant in his office room. His residential house at Nrusinghpurpatna under Khandapada police station and office room at Khandapada were under search, said an official release.
