New Delhi: Amid speculations of South superstar Kamal Haasan floating his own party, comes to another new development. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet Haasan for ‘political discussions’ over lunch in Chennai today.
The Delhi Chief Minister is flying down to Chennai just two days after his return to Delhi following a meditation break in Maharashtra.
The impending meet has fuelled speculations of Haasan making his political debut with AAP. It could also signal a future alliance between AAP and Haasan’s new political outfit.
Last week, Haasan revealed his plan to launch his own political party by the end of September. The local body elections will be held in November 2017.
The timing of the meeting is significant; speculation is rife due to the suspense surrounding Kamal Haasan’s plans to enter politics and the impact such a move would have on the political scenario in Tamil Nadu and beyond.
