Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today appointed Justice Raghubir Das as chairman of the commission of inquiry to probe into the missing keys of Ratna Bhandara of Puri Srimandir.
Justice Das is a former judge of the Orissa High Court.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on June 4 had ordered a judicial probe into the missing of the key of the Ratna Bhandara of the Jagannath temple.
The directive was issued after Chief Minister held a meeting with Law Minister Pratap Jena and chief administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Pradip Jena, at the State Secretariat here in the same day.
The directive had read that a retired judge of the Orissa High Court will probe into the incident, under which circumstances the key has gone missing and why it is not found, and submit a report to the State Government within three months.
The missing of the keys came to light when a team had gone to inspect the Ratna Bhandar for structural damages following a High Court order.
