Jayalalitha to return home soon, party says


Chennai:  Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalitha on Saturday was shifted from the Intensive Critical Care Unit (ICCU) to the general ward of the Apollo Hospital in Chennai after a marked improvement in her health, AIADMK said.  As per reports the normal word will have all requisite medical facilities for her.

On the other hand, party sources asserted that she would return to her residence very soon.

With the good news coming to fore, party leaders have started celebration. Scenes of sweet distribution, and sloganeering of “long live Puratchi Thalaivi” was seen outside party house, sources said.

On November 12 in her first statement after being hospitalized Jayalalitha thanked the people for prayers for her recovery and said that she had taken rebirth.

Notably, on September 22 the 68 year old leader was hospitalized for fever and dehydration but subsequently as her health gradually deteriorated amid severe lung infection she had to keep herself in the hospital ever since then.
