Jauna Murmu bags gold in National Open Athletics Championships


Chennai: Odia Athlete Jauna Murmu today won gold in 400m hurdles at National Open Athletics Championships-2017 going on in Chennai.

Murmu, who is representing Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), had bagged bronze medal in the women 400m race yesterday by clocking 54.50 seconds.

Another athlete from Odisha Purnima Hembram had won the gold in women’s 100m hurdles with a timing of 13.89 seconds at the 57th National Open Athletics Championships yesterday. She is representing Indian Railways.
