ITER fake placement: Another key accused nabbed
Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate of police today claimed to have arrested the main accused in the ITER fake placement case. Commissioner Y B Khurania told mediapersons here that Police have arrested one Vikash Lunayach acting as a Coordinator between the ITER and the so called placement companies from Gurugram on June 27.
Khurania said Vikash would be forwarded to court today and police would appeal to the court to take him on a three day remand for interrogation.
With this arrest the number of arrest in connection with the case rose to three. Earlier Raj Kumar Hota and Manas Nayak were arrested for their alleged involvement in the fake placement case.
As many as 400 students of the ITER were issued fake placement orders in different companies in a well organized racket.
The Police Commissioner said from preliminary interrogation it was revealed that a well organized group was involved in the scam.
Khurania said Vikash had visited ITER five times during the placement. Vikash during interrogation told the police that he had done his MBA from the Singhania University in Rajasthan. After completing his study he was residing in a PG hostel in Gurgaon.He was involved in placement business after he came in contact with a person at the hostel. Mr Khurania said Vikash had brought five so called placement companiesO1, Super Tech Global, IRCON Construction and Toshiba TTDA to ITER for placement.
