ISSF World Ch’ship: Indian men’s skeet team bags silver; Gurnihal wins bronze

Changwon: Indian junior men’s skeet team clinched silver while shooter Gurnihal Singh Garcha won bronze medal in the same event at the ISSF World Championships on Tuesday.

The team comprising of Gurnihal , Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Ayush Rudraraju finished second at the podium by 355 scoreline in the finals. While Czech Republic with a score of 356 points secured the first position and won the gold medal.

On the other hand, Gurnihal made six strong positions in which he shot 46 points on the podium to claim the individual bronze in the same event.

With this, India has been placed fourth in the medal tally with seven gold, eight silver and seven bronze medals at the International Shooting Sport federation (ISSF) Championship.

The women team comprising of Bhakti Khamlar, Shirin Godara and Ayushi Podder finished 14th with a score of 3383 points in 50 m rifle 3 position competition.
