Bhubaneswar: Odisha police today formed special teams to conduct a detailed investigation into the gang rape of a minor girl allegedly by ‘men in uniform’ at Pottangi in Koraput district.
The investigation into the case is going on in full swing and five police teams are on the job, DGP RP Sharma informed.
“The teams are conducting a detailed probe while security personnel of nearby camps is also being examined, said Sharma.
Only after investigation progresses, the accused behind the incident can be identified. The investigation is being conducted based on the preliminary statement of the survivor. A detailed statement will be recorded after she recovers, he added.
Yesterday he had tagged the incident as a ‘Red Flag’ category case.
