Bhubaneswar: Industrialist and owner of Nayagarh Sugar Mill Trailokya Nath Mishra’s son Sabyasachi Mishra was today arrested on the charges of wife swapping brought against him by wife Lopamudra Mishra. Sabyasachi has been arrested by Mahila Police on Thursday late night from his Kharavel Nagar house.
Lopamudra had brought the allegations against her husband and his family six months ago alongwith harassment charges. She had said that after their marriage Sabyasachi had taken her abroad where he had forced her to involve in wife swapping. When she denied he harassed her with support from his family.
She also said that her husband’s family had tried to kill her and her son after which she had reported the matter to Mahila Police six months ago. While police had summoned the industrialist’s family, the Mishras had fled fearing arrest. The family had also got interim protection from Court.
After the interim protection was removed, police had issued a lookout circular against the Mishras. When police came to know of their presence in their Kharavel Nagar house, a special squad raided the house and arrested Sabyasachi. On Friday, a medical test was conducted for him and he was forwarded in court. Police is also trying to arrest his parents.
Sabyasachi however rubbished the allegations and said if he had done any wife swapping why did Lopamudra not complain till 13 years.
