Jakarta: India won silver in archery women’s compound team after losing to South Korea in the finals on the tenth day of 18th Asian games in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The women team comprising of Muskan Kirar, Madhumita Kumari, and Jyothi Surekha Vennam entered the finals after defeating Chinese Taipei team in the semi-finals.
Similarly in the quarter-final, the Indians had pipped Indonesia’s Sri Ranti, Yurike Nina Pereira and Dellie Threesyadinda with 229-224scoreline.
The Indians won their second set finishing 56-28 at the podium after losing the first set with 56-57. They again went down in the third set 56-57 but a brilliant performance in the fourth and final set saw them win the clash at 59-54.
Earlier, the Indian women’s compound team had settled for a bronze after beating Iran in the third-place play-off at Asian Games 2014.
