Hrithik Roshan's ‘Super 30’ posters unveiled

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan unveiled the posters of his upcoming flick ‘Super 30’ on the occasion of Teacher’s day on Wednesday.

The actor took to Twitter and shared three posters- one introducing his character of Anand Kumar, the mathematician who trains underprivileged students for IIT entrance examinations, the other one has him surrounded by his students and the last one shows the students ready for some sort of a battle.

The upcoming flick is based on a real-life story inspired from a prestigious Indian educational programme ‘Super 30’ which was founded by Abhayanand, a 1977 batch IPS officer and Anand Kumar, a mathematics teacher.

‘Super 30’ is an educational programme which claims to select 30 meritorious and talented candidates each year from economically backward sections of society and trains them for the JEE, the entrance examination for Indian Institute of Technology.

The film co-produced and directed by Vikash Dhal stars Kumkum Bhagya fame Mrunal Thakur and Hrithik Roshan in the lead role. In the film, Hrithik will be seen playing the role of Anand Kumar. The film is scheduled to hit the silver screens on January 25, 2019. The film will face a box office clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika.

Earlier in 2010, ‘Super 30’ programme was selected by Time Magazine in its list – The Best of Asia 2010. The organization also received praise from former United States President Barack Obama’s special envoy Rashad Hussain – who termed it the “best” institute in the country.

Newsweek Magazine also included Super 30 in its list of four most innovative schools in the world.

Anand Kumar has also been awarded the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Shiksha Puraskar – the highest award in the field of education given by Bihar government – in November 2010.
