Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area was formed over the Central Bay of Bengal today and under its impact, Odisha may have rain and thundershower in some places tomorrow.
The low-pressure area was formed under the influence of the upper air cyclonic circulation, the meteorological centre here said.
Associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level tilting Southwestwards with height, it said.
Under its impact rain and thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in Odisha districts during the next 24 hours. Rainfall is likely to increase from October 18, the MeT centre said.
