Ahmedabad: The votes, polled during the single-phased Himachal Assembly polls and two-phased Gujarat election, will be counted tomorrow.
Everybody focus will be on Gujarat election results because this is the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.
However, all exit polls have predicted the BJP, which has governed the state for 22 years straight, will easily get another term.
It is also a crucial test for new Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
While the BJP is seeking a sixth straight term in office, the Congress is aiming to stage a comeback in power after being in the opposition for over two decades.
Polling in Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017 has been slightly lower than the last elections in 2012. The first phase of polling saw a 68 per cent voter turnout, while the second phase saw a marginally better 68.7 per cent. The turnout in 2012 was 71.3 per cent.
