Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd (OSMCL) has blacklisted a Gujarat-based healthcare company for supplying low-quality IV drips (Intravenous Fluids) to the state under the ‘Niramaya Yojana’.
The company—Aculife Healthcare had received the tender to deliver IV saline drips under the scheme in 2016-2017.
In the letter, the OSMCL has stated that the saline provided by them is not up to the mark as it failed in two out of three tests conducted at the OSMCL laboratories.
The corporation has also shot a show-cause notice to the company asking them for a clarification.
Though the expiry dates mentioned on these drips are 2020 but they were blacklisted as the test conducted showed that the drips sans various necessary components.
The company has been banned from taking part in any tenders process while the supply of the saline drips has been stopped.
