Keonjhar: At least seven person sustained injuries during a clash between two groups over the recent three tier panchayat polls at Nalo village under Harichandanpur police lmits in Keonjhar district on Monday.
One of the victims named Trilochan Barik was shot by an arrow. Being critical he was admitted to Cuttack SCB Medical College and hospital.
To maintain law and order situation in the area, police force was deployed at the village.
As per sources, the clash was the fallout of a dispute between two political groups over the construction for a concrete road to the village from Dhobatutha to Juanga Sahi.
The two groups attacked each other with sharp edged weapons. Trilochan was shot by an arrow on his chest.
However, police have registered a case and launched an investigation while no one has been arrested yet.
