Nabarangpur: The families of the dadan labourers who were killed on Monday when a crane toppled over them during construction of Bagha irrigation barrage, are mourning after the last rites were conducted on Tuesday.
The three belonged to Aunliguma village of Tentulikhunta block of Nabarangpur and went as dadan labourers to Boudh district’s Bagha barrage gate in Sagada. They were brought to the village in early morning on Tuesday and the administration contributed Rs 30,000 while the company for which they were working gave Rs 30,000 for the last rites of the three labourers.

Bhima Muduli and Ramnath Muduli were cremated while Kunu Khura was buried. Bhima’s family includes his wife, six year old son and four year old daughter and aged mother in law while Ramnath was married only four months ago and is survived by wife Rukmini and aged father. Kunu too worked outside the district to feed his family that is now shattered with his death.
