Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday requested her Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik to take swift action and investigate the missing of Bhubaneswar AIIMS student Suhail Aijaz, a native of Kupwara.
Mufti yesterday took to Twitter and wrote “Concerning reports coming in about a Kashmiri student, Suhail Aijaz of Kupwara being kidnapped in Odisha, I request the authorities to investigate & take swift action,” tagging CM Naveen and his office in the message.
In his reply to Mufti, Naveen has assured that all attempts are being made to trace out the missing student.
“Our Government is doing everything to trace Suhail. State police and investigative agencies are on the job and all efforts are being made to trace out the student,” Naveen tweeted.

Suhail Aijaz, who is a resident of Kupwara district in J&K and a MBBS student at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar has been missing since February 9. The matter came to light after the AIIMS authorities had lodged a complaint in this connection on February 17.
