Rayagada: Two days after 15 wagons of a goods train derailed near Damanjodi railway station in Koraput district, another goods train went off tracks near Bhalumuska railway station in Kalyansinghpur of Rayagada district on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at around 6.30 pm. Train services on Koraput-Rayagada route were disrupted following the derailment. However, no of life or property was reported.
According to reports, the goods train was transporting aluminum powder from NALCO plant in Damanjodi of Koraput district when the bogies of the train went off the tracks.
Hirakhand Express, which runs between Jagdalpur and Bhubaneswar, remained stranded at Lakshmipur in Koraput while the Rourkela-Koraput Express got stranded at Tikiri station in Rayagada following the derailment of the train.
Later, the officials of the local administration along with the police and railway officials rushed to the site and carried out efforts to clear the route.
