Good news for travellers! Passengers will no longer have to pay flat Rs 3000 for cancellation of flight tickets
New Delhi: In a big relief to the travellers, domestic airlines will no longer charge Rs 3000 flat cancellation of a flight ticket.
According to the rules, the cancellation charges should not exceed the base fare and fuel surcharge.
According to reports, cancellation of domestic air tickets will no longer be a flat Rs 3,000. Indian airlines said that their cancellation charges will be Rs 3,000 or base fare plus fuel surcharge per passenger, whichever is lower.
The decision came after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) asked the carriers to provide data on cancellation charges.
