Ganjam: Another suspected swine flu patient of Ganjam district was admitted in the MKCG Medical College Hospital here on Monday.
A resident of Khaza Street, Benu Begum (60), was admitted in the Swine Flu Ward. Earlier, she had got treatment in a local private hospital and later in the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Sources said, during her treatment at the DHH, symptoms of H1N1 affected were observed in Benu and, was thus shifted to the MKCG Hospital.
Three days back, Suresh Kumar Sharma of the district’s Konishi village was admitted in the hospital and, as his blood sample tested negative, he was released from the hospital.
Till now, no swine flu patient has been confirmed in the district.
“Earlier 140 vaccines were brought and distributed among doctors and nurses of Sub-Divisional Hospitals, DHH and MKCG Medical College Hospital. We have asked for more 500 vaccines,” informed Ganjam CDMO Dr Saroj Kumar Mishra.
