Man kills father for opposing his second marriage

Cuttack: The Vigilance on Wednesday caught Ganjam district’s Bomokei Community Health Centre (CHC) Medical Officer (MO) Dr Sishir Kumar Pradhan and Pharmacist P Raghaba Rao Patra red-handed for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 2,000.

They were caught while accepting bribe from Jhumuri Gouda of Jharipadar village in Ganjam district for discharge of her husband, whose operation had been conducted on April 4 2018 at the CHC.

Accordingly, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap following which Dr Pradhan was caught red-handed in his office chamber in CHC premises and later Patra was caught while receiving Rs 500 from the bribe amount from Dr Pradhan.
