Four women Maoists killed by security force in Odisha

Narayanpatna: Four women Maoists were killed during an exchange of fire between security force and left wing extremists near Dokari ghati in Narayanpatna of Koraput district last night.

While bodies of three Maoists were recovered last night during search operation, security personnel recovered another body this morning.

The four ultras are suspected to be members of the Andhra-Odisha Special Zonal Committee of CPI (Maoist).

According to reports, acting on a tip-off a joint team of District Voluntary Force (DVF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) launched combing operation in the Dokari ghati area.

During the combing operation, an exchange of fire erupted between the ultras and security personnel in which four red rebels were gunned down.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition were also seized from the spot.
