Cuttack: Ahsirbad Behera, the former Secretary of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Saturday refused the allegations of financial irregularities in OCA.
In a press meet, he said, “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not even mentioned of such irregularity in its audit report. I wonder how such news came into debate. “
However, OCA has received funds of about Rs 320 crore so far in last 16 years, therefore the allegation of fund embezzlement of a mammoth Rs 500 crore is baseless, Behera added.
In his statement before the Cuttack Collector, he said, “Congress leader Mohammed Moquim is blaming without any prior evidence and making efforts to defame him because he had stepped back to assist him during 2014 elections.”
Expressing over Behera’s statement, Moquim claimed, the audit report bearing financial irregularities was submitted by Deloitte to BCCI in March which enlisted OCA for fund embezzlement.
