Rourkela: Odisha police today arrested six more members of People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) including an ex-army official here taking the arrest toll to 13 in last two days.
Following the information of the seven rebels who were arrested yesterday, the police got to know that these cadres have mobilised others in Biramitrapur and adjoining areas.
A special team of Kuanrmunda police in Sundergarh district conducted multiple raids at various places and arrested the six extremists including an ex-army man identified as Jadumani Patra, Sundargarh SP Pinak Mishra said.
Notably, seven rebels of the outlawed outfit including Zonal Committee Member Arjun Rana and Koida-Barbil area commander Karan Sai were arrested on Sunday.
They were actively involved in a number of crimes in Keonjhar, Sundargarh and neighbouring Jharkhand.
