Bhubaneswar: Smart city Bhubaneswar has planned to have its biggest-ever shopping mall at Rasulgarh by March 2018.
Kolkata-based real estate developer Forum Group which is executing the Rs 500-crore project that the work on the nine-storey mall with a floor area of 6.5 lakh Rasulgarh square in Bhubaneswar. Titled as ‘Esplanade by Forum’, the project will consist of a 4 lakh square feet shopping mall including an eight-screen multiplex and 2.5 lakh square feet luxury office spaces. Additionally, the project will have parking facility for over 1000 cars.
Speaking about the project, Deputy Managing Director of Forum Group Vidyut Saraf has said that the entire 500-crore project is being executed by Leighton Group from Australia, one of the world’s biggest contractors. The facade of the project has been inspired by Odisha’s famous weave pattern and will use materials never before used in India.
The Group’s Assistant Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Ranjit Mallik has said that ‘Esplanade’ mall would have the biggest food court and a hypermarket of the city.
At present, INOX at Saheed Nagar is the biggest multiplex in the city as it has three screens.
