Sundergarh: Residents of villages under Bonai forest area of Sundergarh district are spending sleepless nights as elephants continue wreaking havoc in the area.

As per available information, paddy crops spread over acres of land in Jharabadam, Mushaposha, and Rautarani were reportedly destroyed by two tuskers.

The villagers alleged that even after the pachyderms have been destroying standing crops, the forest officials are sitting idle without taking any steps.

Meanwhile, the efforts are on by the forest department personnel and local villagers to drive away the tuskers.
