Jakarta: Divya Kakran took India’s medal tally to ten by bagging a bronze medal in women’s 68-kg freestyle wrestling on the third day of 2018 Asian Games here on Tuesday.
Divya defeated Taipei’s Chen Wenling and the match ended in less than 90 seconds. Divya won the match with a score of 10-0 on the basis of technical points and 4-0 on the basis of class points.
With this, India stood at 7th position with three gold medals, three silver medals and four bronze medals in latest medal tally in the Asian Games.
The 20-years old Divya who hails from Delhi now aims for Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore congratulated Divya on her victory in a tweet.
