Cuttack : Thousands have thronged at the Dhabeleswar shrine, here on Sunday to observe the ‘Bada Osa’. It observed in the third day of odia month of Kartik.
With all religious fervor, devotees from all across beating the chilled weather came to jostle for a glimpse of the Lord at the holy shrine.Amid all, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure safety of the devotees visiting the shrine. After getting the sight of ‘ Bada Singhara Besa ‘ of the Lord yesterday , people remained awake the entire night to queue-up for the ‘Gaja Bhog’ , which came out from the shrine as Prasad (bhog) early on this morning.
The Central Electricity Suppy Utility of Odisha (CESU) authority has been asked to supply interrupted power supply with heavy duty generator facility., while the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWSS) has been asked to supply safe drinking water to the devotees.the fire brigade officers and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) team are asked to assist the ferry ghat and also 400 life jackets have been provided.
Large number of police platoons have been deployed to maintain law and order situation.Three first-aid centres are opened by the health department in and outside the shrine.A temporary information centre is also opened to provide information on the lord and the festival.
Earlier on November 8 , a meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Cuttack Collector, Nirmal Chandra Mishra for smooth conduct of the festival at Lord Dhabaleswar.
