Delhi police receives threat mail on assassination of PM Modi
New Delhi: Delhi police on Saturday sounded high alert after it received a threat regarding the assassination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through an email.
The threat sent to the official e-mail ID of Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik was in the form of one-liner.
However, no person has been identified so far and the Delhi Police teams have launched a probe to identify the sender of the email.
According to reports, the message which mentioned that PM Modi will be assassinated in November 2018 was sent from a jail in Assam. Further details about the e-mail have not been disclosed by the Delhi police.
After the Delhi Police Commissioner received the threatening email, PM Modi’s safety security have been put on high alert as he is expected to attend several rallies in the coming months.
