Jakarata: Deepak Kumar picked up India’s third medal at the ongoing Asian Games 2018 after winning silver medal in Men’s 10 m Air Rifle category in Jakarta on Monday.
Deepak finished second with a score of 247.7 while Ravi Kumar who yesterday won bronze in the mixed event, finished fourth with a score 205.2.
Earlier, Deepak Kumar had won the bronze medal at the 2018 ISSF World in the 10m Air Rifle mixed team event with Mehuli Ghosh. He also had clinched bronze in the 2017 Commonwealth Championship.
On the other hand, Apurvi Chandela after finishing second in the qualifying round was eliminated from the final round.
Notably, Ravi Kumar and Apurvi Chandela gave India its first medal by winning bronze in the 10 m Air Rifle mixed event.
