Kendrapara: A day after a 14-year-old boy died after being administered a wrong injection by a fake doctor, the medicine store of the accused was sealed on Monday.
District drug inspector and Rajnagar police jointly raided the medicine store of the doctor, identified as Indrajeet Biswas of West Bengal, and seized all the medicines.
Biswas was charged with Section 302 (murder) of the IPC for causing the death of the minor boy, identified as Subrat, and was arrested on Sunday.
According to sources, the boy, a Class VII student, was suffering from fever following which his father Meghanad Barik of Balikana village in Ostia gram panchayat under Rajnagar block took him to the doctor. The doctor administered an injection to the boy to the cure the fever. However, he succumbed after 10 minutes.
Soon after the news broke, the irate locals handed over the fake doctor to the police after beating him black and blue.
