Bhubaneswar: In view of severe cyclonic storm Titli, all schools, colleges and anganwadi centres in four districts in the state will remain closed for two days—on Wednesday and Thursday—as a precautionary measure.
A decision in this regard was taken during a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi at the secretariat today.
Speaking to the mediapersons after the meeting, Padhi said that all schools, colleges and anganwadi centres in four districts—Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri and Jagatsinghpur—where the impact of the cyclonic storm likely to be more, will remain closed. “Decision on other districts will be taken after examining the situation tomorrow,” he added.
On the other hand, special relief commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi said a clear picture about the intensity of the cyclonic storm can be ascertained by Wednesday evening. “Other measures will be taken accordingly,” he added.
