Bhubaneswar: The conjoined twins of Milipada village under Phiringia block of Kandhamal district today left for AIIMS, New Delhi along with family members for further treatment.
The conjoined twins, Honey and Singh were headed to the AIIMS where the infants will be operated by senior doctors to separate the twins.
The State Government had brought the twins and family members from their village yesterday.
The twins, Jaga and Balia were born at Phiringia public health centre on April 9, 2015.
The parents had earlier rushed them to SCB Medical College Hospital shortly after their birth but could not continue with the treatment due to financial constraint.
