Bhubaneswar: A Congress Legislature Party meeting was held at the residence of the Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra on Tuesday.
As per information out of 16 MLAs, 14 were present during the meeting while the other two were absent due to illness.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting LoP Mishra clarified that discussion on panchayat elections was the main focus during the meeting. Henceforth such meetings will be done at regular intervals to prepare strategy for panchayat elections.
MLAs will take part in the election campaign if the high command gives permission to do so, Mishra said. Another meeting before assembly session will be done later on.
When asked about the absence of state party chief Prasad Harichandan, Mishra said since it was a LP meeting so he was not asked to join.
