Bhubaneswar: A four-foot length cobra was rescued from the Lord Lingaraj temple premises on Sunday. The snake was in particular rescued from ‘Maa Bhubaneswari’ temple within the premises.
As per sources, the snake was there in the premises since last two days. But on Sunday, it became difficult for the servitors to perform bathing ritual of the goddess for the presence of the same. The temple association immediately called the ‘snake Helpline’ in the city for action. The snake helpline staffer on being informed reached the spot and rescued the snake.
Meanwhile, some devotees have expressed their concern over the snake been rescued from the temple premises and later been dropped somewhere in a place which is out of their knowledge.
